ACG Opening Weekend - May 2022
We are currently closed for the winter dormancy season to prepare the plants for the upcoming 2022 season. If you’d like to visit us upon reopening, feel free to check out one of our open weekends! These weekends are the best opportunity to visit the gardens, meet other growers, ask questions, and bring home plants!
If our open weekend dates do not work for you, or you’d like to request a one-on-one tour, please reach out to Kirk directly via email or our social media pages. Due to a hectic schedule, arranging a tour can sometimes take some back-and-forth, but we’ll always do our best to be accommodating and make your visit memorable!

Here are some common questions about your visit – feel free to contact us with any other questions you may have.
We are located in Snellville, GA – roughly 40 minutes East of downtown Atlanta. We’re a backyard nursery in a residential area, so please respect our neighbors on your visit.
The best time to see the gardens is during one of our monthly open weekends during the May-October growing season. These weekends are open to the public from 9AM-5PM on Sat/Sun or by appointment on Friday. Kirk Simpson operates ACG and handles all tours and visits, so availability is based on his schedule.
Yes! We offer a selection of sundews, flytraps and Sarracenia locally. Because we focus on offering seed-grown plants, our availability can vary widely during the season so please reach out before your visit if you are looking for a particular plant.
If we don’t carry a plant you are looking for, we’ll do our best to refer you to another grower with availability.
We do our best to keep the majority of our plants below $30. There are some exceptions for rare or large specimens, however the large majority of our plants are offered at or below this price point.
We prefer digital payment whenever possible, however if cash is your only option we will accept it, just know that it is unlikely we will have change for large bills. For digital payment, we accept Credit/Debit cards, Venmo, PayPal, CashApp, Zelle and can offer an online order pickup option.
If you visit during an open weekend – stay as long as you like! We are happy to give tours and answer any questions you might have. If you schedule an appointment to tour – we ask that you generally try to limit yourself to between 30 min – 1 hour as Kirk has a hectic work and home schedule and can’t spend all day with the plants – even if he’d like to!
